Local Senior Living Community Avondell Hosts County Executives at Ribbon-Cutting Celebration
Bel Air, MD – Avondell, a new retirement living community situated on thirteen wooded acres in Harford County, will hold a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony and catered reception at the community at 128 West Ring Factory Road in Bel Air on May 15, 2008, 4-7pm.
Several prominent Harford County leaders will participate in the ceremony. Harford County Executive David Craig, County Director of Community Services Mary Chance, City Council member Roni Chenowith and Vicar Blaise Sedney of St. Matthews Lutheran Church will all speak at the ceremony. The event is scheduled to be held outside in the garden area of the new community, and will include an indoor reception featuring entertainment by Russian pianist Esther Shumyatskaya and Al D’s jazz trio in the community’s entertainment room and the Furlong Pub.
Executive director of Avondell, Eileen Adams, said, “We are excited to welcome everyone to this special ribbon-cutting ceremony and officially open Avondell Independent and Assisted Living in Harford County. Our new residents have been moving into their apartment homes since mid-January, and each week the community comes more to life with our full schedule of weekly activities and entertainment.”
